The little stinker decided he was ready to come out yesterday and sent me to the hospital again with contractions every 6-7 minutes. They gave me I.V. fluids, and another shot of terbutaline (that crap smarts when it is going in). The contractions slowed and they sent me on my way with oral terbutaline. I am impatient to meet him, but he is WAY more impatient than me:)
He is obviously getting larger because his movements hurt even more...but, I still love it when he does move because it means he is healthy.

Nate and I got some pretty cool stuff for the baby. In the mail today I received a package from my Aunt Bonnie (my baby's Great Aunt). It contained a blanket she made (sweedish woven, and obviously beautiful), a baby bag made my Great Aunt Kay (the baby's Great Great Aunt), and a sweater and HUGE Christmas stocking made by my Grandma Holmes (the baby's Great Grandma) who has already passed away. The most perfect gift! I love every bit of it and my Aunt Bonnie WILL be receiving pictures of all items being used.

Wow, I am pooped today. I worked all day yesterday, and am paying for it today. Last night I think the baby was constantly moving...it still makes me happy though:) I will just have to take a nap today. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night to feel what I think was his fist poking under the skin of my belly. His fragile little fist...I can't wait to put my finger inside that little fist with those adorable fingers for him to squeeze it.

I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow, we are finally starting to reach the end of the pregnancy. I am getting really excited for him to be here, though hopefully not too soon. I want him to be healthy.

So, we had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. The baby is as cute as ever beating Mom up. We did check my placenta, but sadly it has not budged. The plan is to do an amniocentesis at 36 weeks. If his lungs are developed at that time we will do a c-sec(end of Feb). If his lungs are not developed we will do another amniocentesis at 37 weeks. If they are developed at that time then we will do the c-sec, but if not, I will remain in the hospital for the next 2 weeks until week 39 to monitor contractions and possible bleeding. Then the c-sec will be done at 39 weeks. Personally I hope he is ready at 36 weeks. I don't really like the idea of a foot long needle going towards my little boy once let alone twice, and the hospital stay doesn't sound very pleasant either.

He has been having fun playing in my ribs making it difficult to breath. But, though it is hard to breath I like the reassurance that he is okay.

Nate has FINALLY come up with a "temporary" name, Conner Alexander. If we think of something better this will obviously change. I love Conner Alexander, I have even started calling him by this. I think he likes it too:)

So, more complications. Now I have been told I have gestational diabetes. I did not start the pregnancy overweight, nor have I gained too much weight. So, I guess I am one of those girls whose bodies just can't handle the extra weight gain so fast. But, once you are told you have to eat less carbs and drink more water all you want is spaghetti and cereal with a big glass of chocolate milk:)

I think I have figured out where his butt is. He likes to squirm that little thing in the center of the bottom of my rib cage...I LOVE it!

My friend Heather had her baby. I saw the pictures, he is so adorable! It makes me even more excited for my little one to be here.

Off to another doctor's appointment today. We will be doing an ultrasound and a fasting blood test. Watch out everybody from Weed to Sacramento, crazy, starving pregnant lady is on the loose. I have to fast until 4 PM for the blood glucose tolerance test. I was up early today and ate two eggs, three pieces of bacon, a piece of toast, a banana, and a large glass of orange juice. It was delicious, hopefully that will make me not too crazy later:)

I am a little nervous about the ultrasound. It's a transvaginal ultrasound, so I am nervous about something going up there when they have strictly told me nothing CAN go up there. And I am nervous about the results, obviously we are hoping to get good news.

I have started playing music every night for the baby. My Mom gave us a music box with a monkey hanging from a tree for a baby shower gift...it's super cute. The baby loves it too, I swear he starts dancing in there every time I play it for him.

Wow, it's been a week since I last updated my blog...sorry. I have been with family for Christmas. We got lots of wonderful gifts for our cute little boy. I admire Nate's Mother for keeping all of his old baby stuff. Though the stuff is from 1976, there is nothing better than using Grandpa and Daddy's old christening gown, or Daddy's old bassinet:) VERY COOL!

We had a little scare last night. Premature contractions have been occurring for weeks and have progressively been getting worse, so I was finally sent to the ER by my doctor. That's all they were...premature contractions...nothing else. I was given a tocolytic after monitoring my baby's heartbeat and sent on my way. I was a little discouraged though. The doctor avoided answering every question we asked. So, we are just as clueless and unaware as we were when we went in. I have a call placed to my doctor, so hopefully we will get some answers soon.

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas!

All I do is pee. Pee, pee, pee, pee, pee, pee. I went out for breakfast with my Mother today and I peed 3 times. What a nuisance.

My 7 year old niece got to feel the baby move yesterday. I loved watching her eyes light up when she finally felt him. If my child is anything like any of my nieces and nephews I am in luck!
